Who we are?

GospelMusicians.com (formerly known as GospelKeyboard.com) is a subsidiary of eHartwell LLC which is owned and operated by Jamal Hartwell. The slogan and goal of our ministry is: "Making Musicians Into Ministers." We are not just interested in phat chords, or gospel chops, but our goal is to foster a community of musicians that will not just see themselves as a hired employees, but as a ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have one of the largest online communities for gospel musicians as well as an assortment of gospel instructional videos that can be purchased at our Gospel Musicians Mall. We strive to be the #1 resource for gospel musicians around the world and to help aid them in their musical and spiritual goals.

Our Team

Our company's headquarters are located in Orlando FL, but our distribution center is located in Cleveland Ohio where all of our products are stored and shipped. Our team is broad and spread out around the globe. We have developers located in Russia and the UK. We have administrative assistants and operators located in Orland and in Ohio as well. We are blessed to be located in one of the top cities for audio, video, and production, because Orlando is one of the top tourist cities in the world. Our video team is located here in Orlando.

My Testimony

Well from being a keyboard musician and music minister in the church. I get tons of people coming up and asking me to teach them how to play. With my busy schedule and rehearsals and the demands of ministry, I find it very difficult to make that time to teach people. I remember specifically turning a young man away and seeing the look on his eyes when I told him, I would not be able to teach him. As a result, I remember praying to the Lord and asking him, "Lord give me an opportunity or an avenue to help people learn what you have shown me and allow me never to have to turn away another musician." God always remembers your prayers; even the ones you have forgotten. So a few years later, I have become discontent at my present job. Work can take you away from the things you love, it can take you away from ministry, and from your family. So I prayed and asked the Lord to show me what I could do to have my own online business that was also a ministry and that I could work from home and have time to serve Him more. So I took it serious and invested in an internet coach. He told me to design an online business that I liked and something I had a passion for. So I used the gift God has given me and hence the inception of Gospelkeyboard.com. God had been preparing me for years with my background and work experience in computers and a minor web design, coupled with my MBA with a concentration in E-commerce. So combining my skills as a musician, my teaching skills from teaching Sunday school, and my educational and cooperate experiences, Gospel Keyboard and now Gospel Musicians is an accumulation of what God has been depositing in me for years. I remember being so very frustrated, because all of my friends have gone to seminary school and I was on the verge of going to Oral Roberts University, when God opened a door for me to go to school and get my MBA, with tuition reimbursement from my company. With that not seeming like a "spiritual" decision, and going against the grain, I always questioned God and asked Him why He led me this way. Well now I can finally see the plan for my life and how I will use my MBA skills and the very important business principles I've used to grow the business/ministry of Gospel Keyboard to, not only be a site to help other musicians, but as a site that will leave a mark for the Kingdom of God forever!
